Machine Guarding and Safety Fencing

Billington Safety Systems supply a large range of machine guarding, perimeter fencing and safety fencing, which comes in a variety of different heights and widths. These modular systems are simple and easy to install, and the machine guarding systems are designed around standard panel widths with minimal components.

As well as the standard modular machine guarding panels, we can manufacture bespoke machine guarding panels to fit around parts of the machine, with hatched doorways and polycarbonate panels for better vision and closer proximity to the machine.

The machine guarding comes in standard heights of 1400mm, 1800mm, 2020mm, 2200mm, 2300mm, 2700mm and 3000mm. Some areas around machines need taller guarding on certain sections than others, so each system can incorporate a variety of heights.

As well as single access doors, we supply larger double doors, normally using standard width panels. The machine guarding can also be supplied with telescopic sliding doors, and these can incorporate a swinging door on the end to allow a smaller opening if space is tight around the machines.

The telescopic doors in the machine guarding and safety fencing allow forklift trucks to gain access as and when needed. These doors have no top rail or sliding door rail above, so they give clear access with no height restrictions. They can also be used where loading and unloading by overhead crane is needed.

The standard machine guarding and safety fencing system has a mesh size of 20mm x 100mm with a 100mm floor gap underneath. The panels have a box section or angle frame down the 2 sides and 3 box section cross supports. The posts are nominally 100mm taller than the panels and made from 60mm x 60mm box section, with either the standard welded foot or an adjustable foot, which is ideal for uneven floors in older factories and warehouses. Panels are finished in black RAL 9005 and posts in yellow RAL 1018, but we can powder coat them in any other BS or RAL colour you prefer.
