Single skin partitions use one finished face with exposed framing, while double skin steel partitions provide a neater finish on both sides and stronger visual separation between production, storage and welfare areas. The panels sit directly into a floor channel, which is secured before the partitioning is erected. Each panel is slotted into place, and a header channel is fitted to give the supporting frame extra support and strength. A framework of cold rolled channels panelled with steel-faced sections helps align each run of partitions accurately. The system is quick and easy to construct and comes as standard with high-performance single doors, double doors and hospital-type door sets. Doors can be supplied with single or double glazed vision panels, or flush with no vision panel.

Panels are constructed from steel sheets with a 50mm high density mineral fibre Rockwool slab infill, so each section has two steel sheets around a stable core. This double skin steel construction creates an air gap and air cavity around the insulating material, helping with sound reduction, sound insulation, thermal insulation, better insulation, temperature control and reduced noise transmission within the finished enclosure. Panels are connected by means of an internal section, making installation quick and simple, while the internal panel connection adds rigidity, a wireway facility and practical piping routing. Standard panel thicknesses and setting-out details can be confirmed in mm where the specification requires precise dimensions. Because the partitions are finished on both faces, the interior and exterior sides remain neat for offices, cleanrooms and storage for chemicals and food products.
