Perimeter Machine Guarding

The Perimeter machine guarding or machine safety fencing was supplied and installed on a returning customer’s new site in Blyth in Northumberland. The machine guarding and machine safety fencing was around a storage carousel for large cables with a diameter of 30m, as you can see from the pictures the carousel is circular and we have supplied the machine guarding using a modular system with standard width panels and posts with a set of hinges on one side an a fix post to the other allowing the installers to rotate the machine guarding panels a couple of degrees every time to align with the machine and reducing the floor space within the enclosure.

The standard height of the fencing is 2080mm with a 180mm floor gap underneath. The modular machine guarding panels come with a standard 30mm x 30mm box section frame around them with 1 centre support, and these are in turn bolted directly to 60mm x 60mm posts, which are fixed directly to the concrete floor with 4 anchor bolt fixings. The mesh size on this safety fencing system is 20mm x 100mm, meaning that the safety distance could be a lot closer to the machine if needed min 150mm away from the machine.

Standard heights of the guarding are 1412mm, 1650mm, 2080mm & 2650mm.

The Machine guarding was supplied in the standard colours Black RAL9005 & Yellow Panels RAL 1018, but they can be powder coated in a colour to suit your needs.
This machine guarding project was installed in Blyth, Northumberland and took 3 guys 3 days to complete.
