Safety Fencing Sheffield

This machine guarding and safety fencing project was installed to prevent access from multiple points to the cooling beds, where steel transfers around the production line. We have replaced a number of these on site over the last couple of years, as the customer had small handrail gates that could be pushed open.

The modular machine guarding and bespoke guarding was installed across sections of open areas once the handrails had been removed. For now the customer will padlock the areas closed, and then work on getting the access doors added to the control system via Fortress interlocks.

The bespoke guarding and modular machine guarding was supplied as specially made door panels, with infill panels behind them to stop any further access past the doors. We installed swinging doors, but we can also supply sliding doors and telescopic sliding doors.

It was finished in our standard safety fencing black and yellow, but other powder coating colours can be supplied upon request.

This install in Sheffield took 2 guys 4 days to complete, mainly due to the access to each area and how large the site is.
