Billington Safety Systems designed, manufactured and installed a bespoke guarding enclosure to go around a customer service area. The customer uses the area to service their forklift trucks on-site and they were worried that while the trucks were being worked on, there was potential for workers to be laid on the floor near moving forklift trucks.
After speaking to the customer and looking at their needs and work they carried out on the forklift trucks, we came up with an enclosure with solid panels down one side to allow welding and grinding to be done on them and 10m wide double swinging doors on the front to allow the forklift trucks to be easily manoeuvred into place.
The area then creates a safe working environment for the service and work to be carried out on the forklift trucks.
